DAISY JONES & THE SIX
ABOUT THE EVENT

Think Virtual Book Club, but only better because it’s TV!

We’ll start with an icebreaker that relates to the episode(s), then we’ll have a group discussion led by an ATX TV Staff Member followed by any questions or discussion points you thought of that we may have missed. Finally, we’ll end with anyone who wants to share what they are currently watching and loving.

Since this is one of our community events, we’d love for you to attend with your camera turned on, but no one will be forced to contribute unless you want. This will be a free flowing conversation, but we will also utilize Zoom’s hand raising and chat functions as needed to make sure everyone who wants to speak has a chance!

TV WATCH CLUB’S MARCH PICK IS DAISY JONES & THE SIX!

Watch the first episode of Daisy Jones & the Six, premiering on Prime Video March 3rd, then join us on Monday, March 6th at 6:00 pm CT for TV Watch Club! We’ll also be joined by Co-Creator and Co-Showrunner Scott Neustadter!

Watch the trailer here!

About Daisy Jones & the Six:
In 1977, Daisy Jones & the Six were on top of the world. Fronted by two heat seeking missiles in Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne, the band had risen from obscurity to fame. And then, after a sold-out show at Chicago’s Soldier Field, they called it quits. Now, decades later, the band members finally agree to reveal the truth. This is the story of how an iconic band imploded at the height of its powers.

About Scott Neustadter:
Scott Neustadter is an Oscar-nominated, award-winning screenwriter/producer. He is co-creator and co-showrunner of the upcoming limited series Daisy Jones & the Six, which is based on the bestselling Taylor Jenkins Reid novel of the same name. The series stars Riley Keough and Sam Claflin, and debuts on Amazon on March 3, 2023.

Along with writing partner Michael Weber, Neustadter’s adaptation of The Disaster Artist was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay at the 90th Academy Awards in 2018. In addition, their original screenplay (500) Days of Summer was awarded Best Screenplay of the year at the 2010 Independent Spirit Awards.

Neustadter & Weber’s other writing credits include The Fault in our Stars starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, which grossed over 300 million worldwide, as well as The Spectacular Now, Rosaline, Paper Towns, and Our Souls at Night.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the London School of Economics, Neustadter hails from Margate, NJ, and currently lives with his wife, Lauren Neustadter, and children in Los Angeles.
