We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to chat with one of our past Pitch Competition Finalists, Lisa Jill Anderson and Ahsan Ali, about their Pitch project, Legit Married. Members will be able to ask them questions about their careers, as well as what it’s like to develop and pitch a project, and of course discuss what they’re currently watching!

Legit Married is a comedy series about a Pakistani immigrant who enters into a green card marriage with his neurotic American friend, and how they get in over their heads as they navigate the immigration system, cultural differences and their feelings for one another. Their web pilot has screened at 25 festivals, and has won awards including Best Web Pilot at Dances with Films: LA, Best Episodic Pilot at Katra Film Series NYC, Best of Fest at Strong Chance Film Festival NYC, Best Web Series at Strong Chance Film Festival NYC, Best Web Pilot at the LA Independent Women Film Awards, Best Performance at Women’s Comedy Film Fest in Atlanta, and Best Performance at Women’s Comedy Film Fest in Chicago!

The conversation will be hosted by an ATX TV Staff member to get things started, but this is for you to interact with our guests to learn more about your favorite shows or just talk TV with an insider that loves it as much as we do.

Since this is one of our community events, we’d love for you to attend with your camera turned on, but no one will be forced to contribute unless you want. This will be a free flowing conversation, but we will also utilize Zoom’s hand raising and chat functions as needed to make sure everyone who wants to speak has a chance!
